Ellipsis is a micro budget film, conceived to experiment with an organic storytelling method.

 

The director and 2 actors spent 3 days workshopping:

a) a simple narrative b) the characters.

 

Principal photography 7 days.

 

All scenes shot in principal photography 1 take, using 2 cameras.

 

1 additional day to write and shoot Phone Man storyline.

 

There was no written script.

 

There was no rehearsal on set.

 

4 person crew - 2 camera operators, assistant, 1 sound recordist.

 

Shot using only available light.

 

Longest time spent in any 1 location in principal photography - 2 hours.

 

Last day/night of principal photography - 16 locations.
